At Daybed.shop, we want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. This Return & Refund Policy outlines your rights and our procedures in accordance with UK law, including the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

1. Your Right to Return (Change of Mind)

If you change your mind, most unused and unassembled items can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, subject to the conditions below.

2. Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Items

  • Reporting Window: You must inspect your order upon delivery. Any issues such as transit damage, manufacturing faults, or incorrect items must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Procedure: Please email photos of the issue to support@daybed.shop along with your order number. We will assess the problem and arrange a free collection of the item. You will be offered a replacement, a repair, or a full refund at no cost to you.
  • Assembled Items: If you discover a defect after you have assembled an item, please contact us immediately with photos. We will provide specific instructions for resolving the issue.

3. How to Initiate a “Change of Mind” Return

  1. Contact Us: Email support@daybed.shop with your order number and reason for the return.
  2. Get Authorization: We will provide you with a return authorization and instructions on how to proceed.
  3. Ship the Item: You must arrange for the item to be returned to us using a trackable shipping service. Please keep your proof of postage, as we are not responsible for items lost in transit.

4. Return Conditions

  • A proof of purchase (your order number) is required for all returns.
  • For “Change of Mind” returns, items must be unused, unassembled, and in their original packaging with all parts and tags intact. We cannot accept returns of unwanted items that have been used or assembled.
  • Large items (e.g., beds, sofas) must be fully disassembled and securely repackaged to prevent damage during transit.

5. Refunds and Associated Costs

Refund Processing

Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 3–5 business days of us receiving and inspecting the returned item.

Return Shipping Costs

  • For “Change of Mind” returns, the customer is responsible for arranging and paying for the return shipping costs.
  • For damaged, faulty, or incorrect items, we will cover the cost of the return shipping by arranging a free collection.
  • If you use a shipping label provided by us, the cost of the label will be deducted from your refund amount.

Restocking Fees

A 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund for returns under the following conditions:

  • a) ‘Change of mind’ returns for large furniture items (sofas, beds, etc.)
  • b) Orders that are returned to us because an incorrect or incomplete shipping address was provided.

6. Exceptions & Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned unless they are found to be faulty:

  • Custom-made or made-to-order items.
  • Mattresses that have been removed from their original sealed packaging (for hygiene reasons).
  • Items marked as “Final Sale” or “Clearance.”
  • Items that have been used or assembled (applies to “Change of Mind” returns only).
